The historic city of Edinburgh can be reached via road in an hour or by train, from Dunbar (15 miles), in twenty minutes. Newcastle can be reached by road in around 1 1/4 hours or by rail, from Berwick (15 miles), in 45 minutes. The market town of Berwick Upon Tweed is 15 miles and St Abbs and Eyemouth are around 5 miles from the cottage.
